Sheikh Mohammed meets with Bill Gates to discuss humanitarian cooperation

Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Muslim bin Ham Al Ameri met Mr. Bill Gates, Co-President of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation at the Mina Al Salam Hotel in Dubai, and both parties reviewed joint cooperation in the service of humanitarian action. They exchanged cordial talks about human value and moral responsibility towards vulnerable groups deprived of human and social welfare rights, especially in third world countries. And the need to work in their respective places to improve their situation in order to ensure a better and safe future for the next generations Both sides stressed the importance of continued concerted efforts and enhancing cooperation and coordination between regional and international organizations and institutions concerned with humanitarian and charitable work to achieve the best solutions, results and practices in the field of providing humanitarian health services. Bin Ham pointed out during the meeting that charity work in the UAE is a culture of people and human value based on giving in all its forms “We, the sons of Sheikh Zayed, may God rest his soul, which is a universal value in giving, goodness and humanitarian work.” He continued: We, the children of Zayed, instilled in us the late qualities of goodness and giving and helping the needy, as we learned from Sheikh Zayed that the tender has no limits and helping the needy is a duty regardless of color, sex or creed and today we complete the journey and ask God to guide us to the best

For his part, Bill Gates praised the UAE’s contribution in supporting the charitable and health projects implemented by his foundation in a large number of countries in the world. He added that the Bill Gates Foundation was keen on its presence and support for the poorest countries, which suffer from the high rate of childhood diseases due to poor food and lack of medicines expressing its readiness to support activities and cooperation with Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Muslim bin Ham Al-Ameri in humanitarian work that benefit humanity.
